    Electronic Security Technician

    Position: Electronic Security Technician
    Pay Status: Hourly
    Location: Manassas, VA - Please note there are 4 Offices throughout the state (Open positions in some of these regions as well)
    Reports to: Branch Manager/Operations Manager/Project Manager
    Pay Rate: Hourly $25.00-$35.00 (With Certs this has flexibility)


    Hiring process: Temporary to Permanent (5 month contract then converts to full time)

    Primary Purpose and Function
    The Electronic Security Technician position is an intermediate technician role who has the overall responsibility for the physical Installation, termination, programming of intermediate Commercial security projects. Will need to be able travel to projects both in state and surrounding states(minimal and short term - Will be home every weekend), help finish and maintain systems, train teammates, provide support on jobs, and ensure a smooth process start to finish.

    If travel is needed you will be home on weekends - Per Diem is provided and a $50 dollar incentive pay per day you are traveling - Totals $80 daily before hourly pay.

    Company car provided (must be picked up from the office daily minus certain circumstances) and all travel is converged by the company. If you are over a certain distance from the office it may be arranged to take the car home but this is case by case.

     

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Perform installation and programming of medium to intermediate complexity projects per scope of work documents for commercial level systems
    • Coaching and mentoring Installation Tech I
    • Perform installations on complex projects with support from Field Support Engineers
    • Interface with customers to resolve installation and service concerns and question
    • Follow device I/O schedules and drawings for complex design
    • Follow and/or adapt proper schematic wiring diagrams and termination procedures
    • Test operation of system to confirm compliance the scope of work, 100% functionality and customers satisfaction
    • Mark up as-built drawings, system documentation and device schedules
    • Train end users on new systems
    • Ensure that systems are installed in a time efficient manner meeting project deadline
    • Assist PMs with IT coordination and implementation

    Additional: If you do not hold a DCJS we will help you obtain this and offer certifications after converted to Permanent
