    Position: Fire Alarm Technician

    Compensation: $35+ hourly - this is fully dependent on starting experience, Life Safety certifications, and how you interview.

Do you have knowledge of Fire Alarm and Suppression systems and how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot them? If you answered yes to these questions, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!

    We are a leading Life Safety service provider in the Wilmington, DE region, serving a wide range of clients from government agencies, schools, hospitals, and businesses. We are looking for a qualified and motivated Technician to join our team and provide excellent service to our customers.

    As an Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for:

    • Installing, programming, testing, and commissioning Fire Alarm systems according to the specifications and standards of the manufacturer and the NFPA.
    • Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on existing Fire Alarm and Suppression systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
    • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with Fire Alarm and Suppression systems, using various tools and equipment, and providing solutions and recommendations to the customer.
    • Following all safety rules and regulations and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures.

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Fire Life Safety industry, preferably with access control and CCTV systems. (Certifications are a plus but not needed)
    • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, and the ability to travel within the Wilmington, DE region and occasionally beyond.
    • Certification or in-depth knowledge in Fire Alarm systems from recognized manufacturers such as Honeywell, Edwards, Siemens, etc., or the willingness to obtain them within a reasonable time frame. Fire alarm experience is also a bonus
    • A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a customer-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • A strong knowledge and adherence to NFPA and Building Codes specific to specified work locations
    • A basic proficiency in computer skills, such as Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
