We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer for Winchester RFM in Nogales. This will be a fast-paced, hands-on role with a lot of projects that will be seen from inception to delivery.

WHAT IS THE DESIGN ENGINEER ACCOUNTABLE FOR?

HOW DOES THE DESIGN ENGINEER COLLABORATE?
Collaborate across Winchester in a way that leads by example, exhibits empathy, ensures task ownership, uses data to make decisions and puts the customer first. Engage the necessary individuals in design reviews and ECO discussions. Make factually based decisions. Ask questions about proposed changes to understand the impact on products, people, and procedures. Understand why product changes are being requested. Assess the benefits vs alternatives. Consider the customer impact with all courses of action. Ensure task ownership for all activities.
WHAT IS THE DESIGN ENGINEER EMPOWERED TO DO?
Partner with business development to generate design objectives and to support the selling process
Design and introduce new products to solve customer problems and win new business
Support a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity
Implement engineering changes and Visual data changes to solve product-related problems
Identify and execute tests to confirm product performance
CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS:
Support Winchesters Long Term Organic Growth goals by establishing robust Engineering practices, processes, and designs that impact Revenue & EBITDA, OTD, and improve established KPI’s
Ensure 100% design on-time completion with quality effectiveness for our customers and their high cost of failure applications, designing for Manufacturing
Analytical thinker with demonstrated technical and CAD design abilities who can manage and build a team lead improvement initiatives, and interface with customer’s technical resources
Ability to manage a diverse team and achieve results against KPIs
