    Job Description

    Position Summary

    The MEDIA BUYER is the core role for strategically planning, negotiating and buying radio, television and outdoor media to meet and exceed business needs. The Media Buyer will be the liaison between Window Nation and media vendors and requires the ability to build effective relationships to ensure every media plan exemplifies ‘Window Nation Excellence’. In addition, the Media Buyer will support the Marketing Directors in management of new market opening media strategy as well as assist management of current media agencies. The Media Buyer’s ability to manage several projects at once, as well as stay on top of competitor actions will be an invaluable tool to the Marketing department, as well as to the company at large. The right candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work with tight deadlines.

    Primary Job Functions

    • Establish and create media plans based on proven successful strategies and tactics that details the best placement to reach target audience
    • Build on established rapport with media vendors to negotiate and purchase media at most beneficial price and effectiveness
    • Track media buy and logs to ensure plan runs correctly during flight dates
    • Report on media plan success through CRM lead source reports and contact forms
    • Adjust media plans as needed to meet business needs and goals
    • Review and reconcile media invoices, as well as coordinating vendor payment with accounting
    • Work on additional projects to support growth agenda as directed by supervisor, including but not limited to planning and executing targeted direct response marketing campaigns (Digital, print, television, etc.)

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
    • 5-7 years of media buying experience
    • Expert level of experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
    • Experience with budget management
    • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform
