The Store Manager Trainee supports daily store operations while developing the skills needed to lead a specialty beverage retail environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about wine, spirits, and craft beer, with a strong interest in customer experience, product knowledge, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Learn all aspects of store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, and merchandising

Deliver knowledgeable, friendly customer service with confident product recommendations across wine, spirits, and craft beer

Assist with receiving, stocking, rotating, and displaying products to maintain an organized and visually appealing store

Support sales goals by promoting featured products, seasonal selections, and tasting events

Learn compliance requirements related to alcohol sales and ensure policies are followed at all times

Assist in training, motivating, and supporting team members

Handle customer questions or concerns professionally and efficiently

Qualifications

Strong interest in wine, spirits, and craft beer (industry experience a plus, but not required)

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to learn product details quickly and explain them clearly to customers

Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting cases as needed

Leadership potential with a desire to grow into a management role
