    Job Description and Responsibilities

    The Broadcast Media Buyer will play an integral role for the Agency. The Broadcast Media Buyer is responsible for executing all buys within assigned markets and channels, according to plan and deadline. In addition, the Broadcast Media Buyer will be responsible for post-buy performance and optimizations mid-campaign. The Broadcast Media Buyer will also work with the account team to fulfill all media related requests for clients.

    Specific Responsibilities Broadcast Media Buyer

    • Attends meetings as needed including internal/external presentations

    • Attends high priority media industry events when able

    • Primary negotiator for all assigned channels including but not limited to Radio, TV and

      programmatic

    • Proactively seeks and negotiates added value for all broadcast buys

    • Responsible for relationships with station representatives in their assigned markets and channels

    • Responsible for ensuring the highest quality buys at the lowest competitive market prices

    • Remains current on Agency educational program and training goals for their job title including

      certification programs

    • Remains up to date on set-top-box philosophy, use of data and interfaces

    • Responsible for proficiency in all media buying software and data used by Agency including but

      not limited to Rentrak/Comscore, Strata/SBMS, Core; training provided by Agency

    • Responsible for training and completion of programmatic certification as requested

    • Maintains current knowledge of all broadcast television programs in their assigned

      markets/channels and will be responsible for effectively communicating the strengths and

      weaknesses of the programs and stations

    • Evaluates integration and sponsorship opportunities in assigned markets and makes written

      recommendations to internal teams and/or clients

    • Remains informed of radio stations, formats and programing changes within assigned markets

      and updates the account teams and other media supervisors as necessary

    • Provides industry/market intelligence to further educate the team that may impact media plans

    • Responsible for guiding and overseeing "makegoods"

    • Assists Accounting with identifying new contacts at stations, obtaining credit card authorization forms and/or wire instructions, request missing invoices as needed

    • Responsible for station invoice reconciliations

    • Ensures client planning calendars are up to date weekly with assistance from Media Coordinator

    • Responsible for completion of all media buy posting in a timely manner including fulfillment of

      under delivery
