HIRING NOW! OPERATIONS SPECIALIST ROLE!
We’d love to add you as an Operations Specialist to our fast-growing team at Winkler Services!
This Operations Specialist will assist with the many facets of our water well operations in our Kermit location during our continued growth as a leader in the Oil &Gas service industry. The ideal field technician candidate will have a minimum of two years of water transfer experience with an oilfield service company and/or material handling company.
As an Operations Specialist, you will be able to utilize your mechanical and other field trade skills, while performing general monitoring and maintenance of various pieces of water transfer equipment. You will be working with various types of valve sets, pipe and fittings while making connections and line repairs when needed. You will also be responsible for working independently without direct supervision and practice good housekeeping and safety in all aspects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rigging up & Rigging down; Set-up, operate and tear-down of pumps, generators, piping systems, pipelines, manifolds, and related equipment
- Perform pre-operational checks on automation equipment
- Inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for loading and unloading produced fluids
- Inspect lines & equipment for possible leaks or damages
- Repair & monitor lay-flat lines
- Project tool-ups and mobilization services, to include procurement, loading transport and assemble the required equipment and water transfer line
- Operate freshwater wells through automation and manual operations
- Monitor pit & well levels; perform well gauging to measure water levels, and account for product moved into and out of tanks or other storage
- Operate terminal equipment such as forklift, skid steer and UTV
- Interact professionally & have strong communications with landowners, on-site customer representatives, co-workers
- Complete data entry of daily totals pumped & detailed reports in an efficient manner
- Use mobile devices or a computer proficiently to send reports and to create virtual automation sites using our software
- Provide on-site calculations of field analysis & complete reports utilizing liquid measurement principles, such as (flow metering and water cut)
- Complete preventative & regular maintenance on well pumps and equipment
CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
- Education & Training: To become an Operations Specialist, you require a HS Diploma & minimum of 2 years of Water Transfer Experience
- Problem Solving Skill: This Operations Specialist can effectively come up with strategic solutions to address operational issues & be able to work under stressful work conditions
- Interpersonal Skills: They can effectively work with all other team members, supervisors, landowners, company man and external clients to ensure smooth work operations while maintaining a flexible attitude.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of recent Water Transfer and/or Oilfield Services experience required
- Must have knowledge of common best practices for the oil and gas industry
- Forklift Certification is a strong plus
- Proactive attitude (seeks an opportunity to learn and ways to improve)
- BE ABLE TO CLEAR ALL PRE-EMPLOYMENT CHECKS, INCLUDING BACKGROUND CHECKS AND DRUG TESTS
- VALID DRIVER LICENSE (CDL PREFERRED) WITH A_ CLEAR_*driving record required to operate a company vehicle*
- Able to lift 50-100lbs and work long hours in extreme conditions
- Must be able to understand and execute procedures pertaining to emergency situations
- Willingness to work various days, shifts and be on-call to meet business needs
- Must be able to take direction from superiors and work cooperatively with others and/or independently to carry out tasks appropriately
- Must possess and exhibit strong communication skills
- Must be able to produce effective oral and/or written daily reports for internal and/or external use
JOB TYPE: Full-time
SCHEDULE: Fixed Rotation Schedule 14 On/14 Off with flexible hours as needed.
