Media Production Specialist
Reports to: Community Outreach Coordinator

Location: Ho-Chunk Renaissance Program Located in Winnebago, Nebraska
Job Purpose & Position Overview
Media Production Specialist is responsible for all new and existing video and audio materials of the HoChunk Renaissance program. The position will require producing online and digital content for the purpose of revitalizing the HoChunk language. The majority of their work will be focused recording, editing, and creating HoChunk language videos & audio recordings by utilizing appropriate software & hardware.
Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the Winnebago Tribe’s core mission, vision, and values.

Demonstrate effective communication, decision-making, leadership, critical thinking, analytical,
research, information and computer literacy, strategic planning, problem-solving, and time
management skills.
Develop a video recording plan, including concept/theme development, draft scripts, production planning, and execution of all steps resulting in final products.
Work in conjunction with the Media & Design Specialist to execute promotional, educational, tutorial videos of language and cultural activities.
Responsible for designing and completing videos for classroom instruction and curriculum development.
Responsible for digitizing learning materials to be utilized, cataloged, archived, and appropriately disbursed to students, learners, and tribal members.
Responsible for managing the creation and production of audio recordings, including production planning and execution of all steps resulting in a final product(s).
Demonstrate skills in digital communications including recording and editing of video material and producing audio and written content.
Must research and select age-appropriate audio, video and graphics for media projects within organization.
Responsible for creating highly engaging complex animations for a diverse array of media including smartphones, tablets, and the web.
Responsible for upkeeping, maintaining, and/or further developing a program language mobile app.
Responsible for maintaining program social media pages containing specific video & audio content, including (but not limited to), Youtube, Soundcloud, Quizlet, Tik-Tok etc.
Collaborate with Media & Design Specialist to oversee and continuously update official website for HoChunk Renaissance.
Work in conjunction with Media & Design Specialist in advertising, promoting, and upkeeping all social media platforms.
Regularly researches and updates staff on trends and makes recommendations for new digital activities for language instruction.
Participate in program social projects and program sponsored activities.
Participation in language learning activities is required.
Ability to work with minimum supervision in completing the goals and objectives of the program.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
High School diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of computers, software, and internet for digitizing learning materials to be utilized, cataloged, archived, and appropriately disburse to community and tribal members.
Excellent skills in both PC and Mac environments, including knowledge of and familiarity of common office software (Microsoft Office, especially Word, Internet Explorer, and Outlook) common file formats, etc.
Knowledge of video and audio editing software.
Responsible for learning to read and write HoChunk language utilizing the Internal Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and English phonetic alphabet.
Knowledge of DSLR camera hardware.
Excellent skills in Photo Shop and Adobe Premier is a plus.
Training Requirements:
Must attend all department meetings and training courses as directed or required by HoChunk Renaissance Director and/or immediate supervisor.
Must actively participate in all programs sponsored activities and events.
Must earn certificate in Premiere Pro in designated timeframe.
Physical Requirements:
Normal to light office work which includes the ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, phone, and various office equipment.
While performing daily duties, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
Mental Requirements:
Reading, writing, calculating.

Works with minimal to no supervision
Language Requirements:
Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
Must be able to continually and effectively employ professional verbal and written communications skills.
