Responsibilities: • Maintain records of completed projects and parts used • Complete preventative maintenance for customers • Diagnose and repair problems, including component installation and replacement • Execute maintenance and installation of plumbing equipment for homes and offices • Check newly installed components to make sure they work Diagnosis and Troubleshooting • Inspect plumbing systems and fixtures to identify issues and assess their condition • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root causes of plumbing problems • Understand the entire plumbing system layout and functionality for each job • Provide accurate and comprehensive explanations of issues to clients (educate clients) and recommend suitable solutions Repair and Maintenance • Perform repairs on various plumbing components, including drains, water distribution, plumbing fixtures, and water heaters • Replace or repair defective parts using appropriate tools, methods, and materials • Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future problems • Ensure that repairs comply with local building/plumbing codes and safety regulations • I nstall and connect plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, and appliances • Start up various plumbing appliances and adjust parameter settings as needed • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and efficient installation processes • Ensure that installations comply with local building/plumbing codes and safety regulations • Verify correct fixtures are on site and are installed in the correct location • Documentation and Approval • Maintain detailed records of all completed jobs, including diagnoses, repairs, and installations • Create and input notes on completed work, including any further action items • Include all pictures for all jobs with descriptions in notes • Record OneNote re-stock after each job to ensure accurate inventory management • Provide accurate pricing within Jobber for each line item to present to the client for approval before beginning work. Approval signature must be obtained • In the event of the client denying repair or service, document, and gain a signature • Document with Jobber any on-site preexisting damages near the worksite you are working on and notify the homeowner or general contractor • Document within Jobber any damages during or after work has been completed. Notify your supervisor immediately Customer Service • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their plumbing needs and concerns • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns professionally and respectfully • Educate clients on proper plumbing maintenance practices to prevent future issues Safety and Compliance • Adhere to safety protocols and standards while performing plumbing tasks • Wear appropriate PPE gear as needed. Refer to Winn’s Plumbing Policy Handbook • Ensure all work meets relevant plumbing codes and regulations • Identify, document, and address potential safety hazards during installations and repairs Team Collaboration • Coordinate with other technicians, contractors, and team members to ensure seamless project execution • Share expertise and provide guidance to less experienced team members when needed • Communicate issues, problems, and discrepancies proactively to your supervisor • Declutter the Van • Remove all unnecessary items from the van, such as trash including copper, unused tools, or equipment • Sort through the remaining items and determine what is essential for your work. Discard or store any items that are not necessary for your daily tasks • Always keep the interior cab of the van clean and keep the dashboard clean and do not use it as storage • Create Storage Solutions • Invest in understanding all storage containers, bins, or shelves suitable for your van's size and layout • Assign specific places for distinct categories of items, such as tools, spare parts, paperwork, etc • Label the storage containers or shelves for easy identification and retrieval • Record OneNote re-stock updated daily to ensure accurate inventory management • Put all restock away after reconciling your restock list. Make sure what you pick up matches what you ordered Establish a Cleaning Routine • Schedule regular cleaning sessions for your work van. Aim for at least once a week or more frequently if needed • Start by removing any trash or debris from the van daily • Wipe down all surfaces with a damp cloth or cleaning wipes • Vacuum or sweep the floor of the van to remove dirt and dust Maintain Order • After each workday, take a few minutes to tidy up the van • Put tools and equipment back in their designated places • Dispose of any trash or unused items promptly Regularly Evaluate and Improve • Periodically assess the effectiveness of your organizational system • Adjust storage solutions or routines as needed to optimize efficiency • Seek feedback from your colleagues or team members for suggestions or ideas Qualifications: • Current driver’s license and clean driving record • Physically able to lift 50lbs, work in tight spaces, crawl, and great physical dexterity • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, and an exceptional problem-solver • Minimum of 6+ years of plumbing experience required Compensation: $62,500 - $75,000 DOE
