MANAGED SERVICES ENGINEER (MS ENGINEER)
WTG is accelerating the growth of our new and unique co-managed technology services offering: WTG northstarMS. As an integral member of Winslow Technology Group, LLC (WTG), Managed Services Engineers (MS Engineers) directly support WTG customers, in collaboration with the rest of the WTG team to co-managed customer environments. The MS Engineer role is a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with exposure to different systems and delivery methodology. In this role, an MS Engineer will have the opportunity to learn from other highly successful IT professionals, sharply honing her or his technical skills.
The Managed Services Engineer is a delivery engineer with specific expertise in routine maintenance and consultative technical support for various hardware and software platforms. MS Engineers work directly with WTG’s customers, Service Delivery Coordinators (dispatcher), Project Managers, Account Executives and Professional Services Engineers (for escalation). To be highly effective in this role, a qualified MS Engineer must have a passion for supporting customers and for technology. WTG’s MS Engineers poses excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, logical troubleshooting skills, and pervious experience in a sysadmin or Managed Services Engineer role(s).

REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Technically proficient in operational support for:
o Microsoft infrastructure technology (AD, DNS, DHCP, HyperV, etc.)
o VMware vSphere
o Microsoft 365 Office 365
o Dell/HPE server
o Storage (NAS/block concepts and troubleshooting)
o General networking knowledge (L2/L3 concepts and troubleshooting)
o Data protection
· Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to track time and accurately capture ticket/task notes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform routine maintenance such as patches and upgrades on server/storage/hypervisor/network technology.
· Configure monitoring technology (such as sensor on PRTG).
· Monitor and analyze customer environments through real-time tools, checklists, and formal health checks.
· Respond to service requests/tickets (Email, phone, etc.) in a timely manner, adhering to WTG’s SLOs and SLAs.
· Occasionally respond to after-hours requests, as needed (WTG has a compensatory time policy to compensate engineers for after-hours support).
· Open and escalate support tickets with OEMs/vendors (Dell, VMware, HPE, Cisco, etc.)
· Maintain customer documentation and customer records, including time tracking and ticket notes / status detail, as it relates to Covered Equipment for co-managed services.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
· 3+ years of experience with system administration
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Desired Training and Certifications:
· Combination CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Server+
· VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA)
· Cisco Certified Technician (CCT)
· Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
· MCSA: Windows Server 2016
· Datto Certified Advanced Technician
POSITION TYPE: FULL-TIME/REGULAR
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Remote/work-from-home role, ideally in the Eastern Time Zone. Must be US-based. Occasional travel to New England is desired. In-region travel may be necessary to support WTG Professional Services Project Services (in the case of an in-region install).
