Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is a world leader in commercial laundering specifically for airlines. They are based in the New York Metropolitan area with subsidiaries in other locations around the country. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to help with our bookkeeping efforts. In this position, you will be responsible for reconciling our outstanding invoices, filing expense reports and maintaining a general ledger of the company's expenses. Our ideal applicant has a bachelor's degree in accounting and several years of experience with data entry and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors the AP inbox.
• Enters and codes invoices using the tools and resources available to ensure proper entry into our financial system.
• Handles vendor correspondence via email.
• Investigates and solves problems associated with processing payment of invoices.
• Assists with month end reports, audit selections, and ad hoc projects.
• Communicate with our sister companies regarding invoices issues.
• Files, saves, and maintains financial documents, vendor information and invoice support.

Requirements: ****

• 5 years of experience in Accounts payable with multiple entities.
• Understand principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at time stressful environment.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAGE, MS Dynamics a Plus

Compensation: ****

$50K – $60K plus benefits
