    Job Description

    The Customer Service Representative provides exceptional service support to customers, distribution centers, and other company locations concerning orders, stock availability, delivery and quotations.  This support must be conducted in a professional manner including accuracy and timeliness of the information along with providing a positive experience for the customer.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    1.     Responds to price and product availability inquiries from service centers and customers in a timely and accurate fashion consistent with company policies.

    2.     Accurately prepares quotations for customer bids in the timeframe required by the customer.

    3.     Processes orders, debits, credits and returns to meet the requirements from customers.

    4.     Monitors and maintains orders to assure on time delivery.

    5.     Effectively handles intra-company transactions as needed.

    6.     Support International and EMC activities as required.

    7.     Regular attendance, punctuality and the ability to work scheduled shifts including overtime when necessary

    8.     All other duties as assigned

    Additional Information

    FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

    1.     Requires high degree of initiative.  Fast paced environment requires attention to detail, ability to perform multiple tasks, and superior communication skills. 

    2.     3-5+ years in Customer Service, Inside Sales or related field. 

    3.     Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).

    4.     Experience with ERP Applications: JDEdwards, Oracle, SAP, and other computer applications such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Quickbooks.

    SPECIALIZED TRAINING:

    1.     International Customer Service or International Freight Document processing

    2.     Exposure or direct responsibilities in a Manufacturing, Production and/or Supply Management environment.

    3.     Foreign language: Spanish (Preferred but not mandatory)
