Designing, planning, deploying, and improving wireless networks from beginning to implementation by collaborating with sales, vendors, operators, managers, and network engineers. Network design includes Radio Access Network (RAN), transport and Core network elements. Role involves commissioning and integration to troubleshooting with Services engineers during deployment. Perform optimizations to verify KPIs are met. Draft system test procedures and train operations engineers.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Designing, planning, deploying, and improving wireless networks from beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors, operators and various network engineers.

2. RF network planning and system engineering Commissioning and Integration (C&I) of wireless/cellular networks.

3. Documenting network infrastructure and design. Develop and document testing instructions and methodologies for assigned platforms prior to their release into engineering and repair operations.

4. Train Services, Operations QA lab engineers in test procedures and provide technical support.

5. Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent years' experience in a directly related field.
• Five (5) or more years’ experience working at the Engineering level with RAN engineering, planning and implementation.
• Design and deployment experience of CBRS networks is a plus.
• Minimum of three years direct experience with mobile wireless technology having a working knowledge of various OEM wireless systems, including direct experience with C&I, network troubleshooting, testing, and certification.
• Designed 4G and 5G networks, configured all aspects of networks including: eNbs gNbs, EPCs, SIMs, eSIMs, CBSDs and UEs.
• Systems knowledge of VM servers, containers, routers, switches and IP networks.
• Linux proficiency is a plus.
• Wireshark proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with deploying RAN, Evolved Packet Core (EPC), 5G Core vendors such as: Nokia, Samsung, Attocore, Quortus, Druid, Athonet, Cellxica, Ericsson, Benetel, Cubic, Deltenna, VNL, Airspan, Blinq, Baicell and others is a plus.
• Indoor and outdoor RF planning, network layout and design of private wireless networks.
• iBwave certification is a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written, and PC skills.
• Demonstrated successful experience independently managing own workload
