Corporate Communications Specialist
Overview:
The corporate communications specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of internal and external communications across all entities. Measures the success of specific communications and tailors future communications to improve effectiveness and increase reach. Works closely with the marketing manager and leadership to administers all corporate communication strategies with a focus on ensuring synergy across all groups. Develops message content for multiple business areas that’s relevant, clear, timely, thorough, and on-brand.
Essential Duties:
Daily updates to both internal and external communications via Sharepoint, including writing content, proofreading contributors’ content, and creating captivating graphics in accordance with brand imagery, style and tone of voice standards.
Independently manages and develops content for organization’s intranet site, obtaining approvals as necessary
Work with marketing manager and leadership to support key initiatives for strategic marketing and corporate communications
Serve as business partner to merchandising, procurement and operations teams in the development of targeted communications materials and execution of key sales programs
Lead internal communications efforts to increase efficiency of information distributed to the field team
Act as a liaison between entities to ensure connectivity and synergies across all groups
Coordinate the creation, approval and distribution of internal, franchisor and external communication using in-house and third-party tools including Sharepoint.
Create infographics, charts and reports to assist with comprehension and status of ongoing sales and new program efforts/tools across the organization.
Selects appropriate channel/manner of communication that reflects the information being communicated and the audience being targeted.
Gathers information for monthly reports on marketing activities and upcoming planned promotions for communication.
May assist the marketing department with the creation of marketing materials, reports and plans.
Actively contributes to promotional ideas, ad copy and other team efforts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field
Working knowledge of website design, html, e-commerce, CRM systems and Sharepoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and concise editing
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite especially Sharepoint
3-5 years’ relevant experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision
Experience with WordPress, Sharepoint and Adobe Creative Suite, especially PhotoShop is preferred
Experience with Customer Relationship Management software such as SalesForce is preferred
