Position overview: Profit and loss responsibility for the Company. Provides hands on leadership and support required to attain optimum levels of profitability and customer service throughout the organization. Serves as the liaison between corporate headquarters, field personnel, the franchised stores, as well as the wireless service providers.
Essential Duties:
Corporate Liaison – Assist and direct communications between the retail outlets and corporate divisions, to assure a smooth flow of information. Assure that weekly sales reports are submitted to Corporate in a timely manner. Keep Corporate updated on store developments, promoting the successes and sharing lessons from the problems.
Sales – Manage and motivate stores to maximize their business opportunities and increase business in all categories that are in the financial model for the Company. Achieve a minimum of 100% of budget for each fiscal year.
Franchise Management – Monitor operations of franchised retail outlets within the assigned region, especially with respect to sales performance and customer service. Closely monitor sales performance of each outlet and attempt to anticipate difficulties, while working with the local franchise owner, the carrier and Corporate to avoid problems.
Store Merchandising – Maintain the standards established for product merchandising at all retail outlets. Communicate regularly with the Ex. Director of Store Development to remain current with respect to product updates and merchandising improvements or concerns.
Carrier Relations – Maintain ongoing relations with the carriers in the assigned markets, including account administration, activation, products, promotions, and issue resolution.
Regional Franchise Meetings – Coordinate Franchise Training and Town Meetings, and attend and participate in all Advisory Council Meetings.
Competitive Intelligence – Monitor promotional campaigns conducted by regional competitors, and promptly notify Corporate of all relevant information. Remain current with all competitive moves and pricing programs within the region. Requires weekly submission of print ads from region to the Supervisor.
Training – Oversee the coordination of training issues and needs. Direct the training of new stores as well as the ongoing training needs of stores. Assist in the presentation of training programs as needed.
Reporting – Ensure that all required reporting is completed in a timely fashion. Manage stores to ensure assigned weekly and monthly reports are done on time.
New Store Sales – Assist in the sale of new stores to prospective franchisees, as well as the transfer of existing stores. This includes initial meeting, signing of Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) receipts, and the coordination of the legal closing paperwork.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
2-3 years of sales management experience
Understanding of sales and accounting practices
Must live in assigned territory
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred
