  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

    General Description:

    • Assemble MCC sections, combination starters, e-stops, disconnects, etc.
    • Add/remove start/stops, relays, coils and contactors
    • Ability to identify panel components physically and from the schematic and BOM
    • Layout panel designs per drawings using a measuring tape, squares and T- squares
    • Drill + Tap holes as necessary
    • Use of punches and/or a jigsaw for panel devices
    • Wire terminals, PLCs, and other devices in accordance with drawings
    • Prepare panels for testing and shipping
    • May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
    • Working in a UL/508 shop

    Necessary Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

    • Able to read standard electrical symbols and schematics.
    • Able to wire AC (120-480V) and DC (24-50V) circuits.
    • Understanding of electrical components, operation, and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Above average computer skills.
    • Able to do basic mechanical repairs, including bearings, pneumatics, minor hydraulics.
    • Preferred, not required, UNIX configuration, shell scripting.
    • Preferred, not required, Python or other related programming language.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Post-secondary education or training in Electronics, PLC, robotics, and or mechatronics.
    • 1-3 years’ experience in similar trade.
    • UL/508 shop experience
