Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
General Description:
- Assemble MCC sections, combination starters, e-stops, disconnects, etc.
- Add/remove start/stops, relays, coils and contactors
- Ability to identify panel components physically and from the schematic and BOM
- Layout panel designs per drawings using a measuring tape, squares and T- squares
- Drill + Tap holes as necessary
- Use of punches and/or a jigsaw for panel devices
- Wire terminals, PLCs, and other devices in accordance with drawings
- Prepare panels for testing and shipping
- May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
- Working in a UL/508 shop
Necessary Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Able to read standard electrical symbols and schematics.
- Able to wire AC (120-480V) and DC (24-50V) circuits.
- Understanding of electrical components, operation, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Above average computer skills.
- Able to do basic mechanical repairs, including bearings, pneumatics, minor hydraulics.
- Preferred, not required, UNIX configuration, shell scripting.
- Preferred, not required, Python or other related programming language.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary education or training in Electronics, PLC, robotics, and or mechatronics.
- 1-3 years’ experience in similar trade.
- UL/508 shop experience
