AllSearch Recruiting has a client that is a U.S.-based manufacturer that produces premium truck bodies designed for landscaping, hauling, construction, equipment distribution, and agriculture. They are looking for a Wiring Technician (internally titled Electrical Upfitting Wiring Technician who is responsible for installing, modifying, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and custom components on commercial truck bodies. This role supports the transformation of vehicles to meet client specifications while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Manufacture and install custom wiring harnesses for commercial truck bodies
Install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems including lighting and related components
Perform riveting, pin striping, and related fabrication tasks
Complete vehicle modifications and upfitting installations according to work orders and blueprints
Install and integrate electrical and mechanical upfitting components
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues during the upfitting process
Read and interpret work orders, wiring diagrams, and blueprints accurately
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure proper implementation of specifications
Maintain an organized work area and ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications:
Experience in automotive repair, vehicle accessory installation, or commercial vehicle upfitting
Hands-on experience with electrical systems including wiring, connectors, lighting systems, and troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
Proficiency using hand tools and power tools commonly used in vehicle modification
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Working knowledge of safety regulations related to vehicle upfitting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines
Compensation:
Base salary in the 16.00 - 30.00/hour range
401k plan with 100% match up to 6% of salary (eligible after 1 year).
