Job Description
Wisconsin Lift Truck, a Material Handling Industry Leader and a member of The Wolter Group, is looking for a Technical Training Manager. This position manages the Corporate Technical Training department policies, procedures and programs, and the Technical Communication and remote support functions as well as leading and developing corporate strategies for the training department and keeping current on new technology. This position is based out of our Brookfield Corporate facility but will require travel to our other facilities as needed.
The Technical Training Manager is responsible for the following: Develop and lead corporate strategy for training department; Partner with branch service management in development and training progress of new technicians; Participate when required to develop relationships with all Technical Colleges in the company footprint so that we are able to participate in job fairs and meet with their students; Supervise and coach technical trainers and remote tech support group. Conduct annual performance evaluations; Resolve technical product issues using notes, manuals, past experience and/or manufacturer assistance; Assist trainers in creating class curriculum; Perform classes as needed; Work with trainers to develop the annual class schedule; Register customers for technical classes; Assess trainers' presentation skills; Approve all training requirements; Review student feedback and share with trainers; Update and monitor Technical Training Database; Manage training budget; Assist technicians on site at customer locations or in shop; Manage manufacturers’ field follow programs; Log issues in the Technical Concerns Access Database; Manage Road Service Technician laptop and software updates; Administrate the Cat E-Learning program; Perform other related duties as assigned.
Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, commitment to company vision and mission, strong presentation and communication skills, strong computer proficiency, and an in depth mechanical knowledge of material handling products, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
