Witham Family Hotels is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Social Media Specialist. Witham Family Hotels owns and operates 12 hotel properties along the coast of Maine, with headquarters in the beautiful Acadia National Park area. We're proud to say our unique properties range from luxury resorts to budget-conscious accommodations, representing a variety of lodging options that meet every travel style.

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing, creating and implementing the social media, digital content, and some printed collateral initiatives. Our digital marketing initiative will focus on building strong relationships with our customers and guests on-line, while displaying genuine care with each post, comment, and story.

As a qualified candidate, you should be ready to work independently, and have an enthusiasm for customer care. Ideally you will be comfortable with both the spoken and written word, strong design skills, and a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Social Media platforms. You can focus on the task at hand while keeping your eye on the upcoming projects and deadlines. You will learn and become confident conversing in our brand voice. Working with various departments and staff within our family of properties happens on a daily basis, so strong interpersonal skills are a must.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working under the direction and supervision of our Design & Marketing Director, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Develop content (written, photography, video, etc.) to activate across all social media channels for Witham Family Hotels properties

• Manage day-to-day social media activities including planning and implementing an editorial calendar, creating content to support posts and responding to consumer inquiries on all property-based Social Networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

• Interacting with customers, partners, fans, influencers and bloggers to cultivate engaged social communities, offer customer service and drive SEO and referral traffic

• Become an advocate of Witham Family Hotels and each property in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering consumer questions and complaints in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor trends in social media tools and applications, testing new ideas and platforms and measure results

• Ensure consistency of messaging across all social networks and digital channels and understand the voice and personality of each property

• Attend social media and digital marketing seminars to stay current on the latest trends and best practices.
