    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    CHIEF OBJECTIVES OF THIS POSITION

     

    The Director of Operations a member of the Company's Leadership Team, and is responsible for ensuring all Company owned equipment is accounted for, and in proper working condition. The Director of Operations is also responsible for ensuring all equipment needed for the production of events is delivered and returned in schedule.

     

    Reports to: President.

     

    Reporting Responsibility: Production and Finance.

     

    General Responsibilities:

        

    • Profit & Loss of Operations Department.

    • Budgeting for Operations Department.

    • Managing a full-time and part-time staff of Operations Staff including warehouse workers & Truck Drivers.

    • Maintaining a weekly work calendar for Staff reporting directly to the Director of Operations.

    • Maintaining a clean organized warehouse.

    • Updating Inventory of company owned equipment.

    • Mastery of Flex Rental Solutions. 

    • Creating and executing a schedule and logbook for regular office, truck, and warehouse maintenance.

    • Coordinating the preparation of owned equipment for every event the company produces.

    • Coordinating pick up and delivery of sub-rented equipment for every event the Company produces.

     

    Budgetary:

    • Work directly with the President & Director of Finance to establish an annual budget for the Operations department.

    • Track quarterly actual expenses to budgeted expenses within the Operations Department.

    • Forecast quarterly expenses for Operations and Maintenance.

     

    Management:

    • Hold daily check-in & weekly round-up meetings with staff to disseminate pertinent information.

    • Coordinate staffing for Operations & Events with an emphasis on budget control.

    • Manage the morale and welfare of the Operations team.

     

    Reporting:

    • Accountable for the resolution of daily lost/missing reports, equipment repair reports, and unreturned items.
    • Accountable for the Trucking Manifests
    • Accountable for the production of Pull sheets

     

    Operations:

     

        MAINTENANCE

    • Accountable for the maintenance plan for the office including maintaining office computers, data backup and storage, phone system maintenance, Internet operations, office cleaning, HVAC, and lighting.

    • Accountable for the maintenance plan for the warehouse including maintaining all capital equipment, keeping a log of all maintenance performed, general warehouse organization and cleaning, HVAC, and lighting. 

    • Accountable for the maintenance plan for the truck(s) including maintaining the equipment, keeping a logbook of all maintenance performed, copies of all repair and certification paperwork; and truck cleaning. 

    • Maintain an active inventory of Warehouse supplies for the production of Events.

     

     

        QUALITY CONTROL

    • Ensure all Company owned equipment necessary for the execution of an Event arrives on site, on time, and in proper working condition.

    • Ensure all rented equipment necessary for the execution of an Event arrives on site, on time, and in proper working condition.

     

     

    Logistics:

    • Work with truck drivers to establish a daily routing schedule to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

    • Accountable for the warehouse staff to ensure equipment is pulled for events to minimize truck drivers down time in the warehouse.

    • Establish protocol for receiving and distributing deliveries made to the warehouse.

     

     

    Other Duties:

    • Provide suggestions to improve efficiency.
