We are looking for a passionate self-starter to join us for a full-time summer internship. This is an opportunity to sharpen your design skills and build your portfolio in a collaborative and customer-focused environment. We are an early-stage, high-growth company with a big vision for helping hard-working small businesses. You will report to our Director of Design and work closely with our marketing team. Responsibilities: • Work with our marketing team and designers to decide how to make our webpage content more compelling including photo research, cropping and illustrating.  • Think through the order and pacing of images within a blog post or web page to find the best way to keep our readers engaged throughout. • Drive design of collateral and web pages from planning, iteration, to release. • Bring empathy, zest, and intentionality to every interaction. • Give and receive feedback throughout design sprints. Qualifications: • Comfortable working in a supportive but independent remote work environment. • You want to understand your user or audience. You ask questions to understand our customer's challenges and desires. • Demonstrated visual design skill, especially in the construction of visual hierarchies on layouts, and attention to detail on typography, spacing, and colors. • You're interested in psychology and how humans make decisions. • Highly proficient with low-fidelity sketching, Adobe CC, and prototyping tools. We use Figma and Illustrator.  • Self-starter, able to work independently with light supervision.  • You have high standards. You expect personal performance and team performance to be nothing short of the best. • Community-minded. You want your work to have a large impact on important problems. Compensation: $15 - $20 hourly
