Job Description

A. Maintenance & Repair Worker 

Performs semi-skilled tasks related to various trades under the supervision of a foreperson or journeyman. Cuts, threads and bends pipe to sizes and lengths as required by electricians and plumbers. Digs and back-fills trenches. Makes general minor repairs to buildings, doors, walls, floors, windows, furniture and lockers.  Maintains required records and reports relating to supplies, parts, equipment and work performed. Operates, cleans and maintains a variety of equipment. Cleans both exterior and interior job sites and vehicles using appropriate tools equipment. Stocks vehicles with appropriate material and tools.   

B. Electrician 

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems

C. Carpenter 

Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood, such as concrete forms, framework, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall and batt or roll insulation. Include brattice builders who build doors or brattices.      

D. PLUMBER

Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases. May install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems.
