LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will coordinate the inbound flow of goods between the point of origin to the destination point, while meeting customer requirements and Translead visions. This involves the integration of information, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and BPO (business process outsourcing) management. RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Logistics coordination and tracking
2. Customer service & claims
3. Border crossing
4. Other duties as assigned Logistics coordination and tracking:

• Coordination of daily handling of internal and domestic inbound and outbound shipments.
• Constant monitoring of track, trace to analyze inbound shipment efficiencies.
• Track and document delivery information in database systems.
• Provide reports to management including delivery status, inventory, distribution and budget request.
• Prepare reports for management including amount of damage claims, costs, and recovered amounts from damages. Requires upkeep of damage tracking per trailer and invoice tracking for damages per carrier.
• Schedule and track LA ingot shipments to the diecast.
• Manage carrier to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery of all ingot shipments.
• Manage monthly pick up schedule to minimize additional costs incurred due to yard storage in Otay.
