The primary function of the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) is to assure the provision of quality prenatal care and women’s health care to Chester County families. Services of the WHNP at LCH include prenatal care, women’s health, and family planning services. The WHNP may also participate in advocacy, case management, and facilitation services as needed, and will advocate for the role of the advance practice nurse and the nursing center as a model of primary health care for vulnerable communities.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a master’s degree in Women's Health, or by the Accreditation Commission on Midwifery Education
Holds current or eligible for RN, CNM, and/or CRNP licenses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Credentialed or eligible for credentialing under Medicare, Medicaid and other commercial insurance
Eligible for prescriptive privileges in Pennsylvania
Skills
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred
