Job Description

Heavy manufacturing company needs a Maintenance Planner with experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance planning.

People with experience in solving mechanical or electrical problem of heavy manufacturing equipment are welcome to apply. Your experience can be in several industries, such as in steel, primary metals, iron-making, aluminum, oil & gas, cement, paper, glass. You might have experience with giant furnaces, ovens, rolling machinery.

Using your experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in heavy manufacturing, you will schedule work orders, ensuring that labor, hours, tools, parts, rental equipment, and contractor support are pre-arranged. The work orders will include Preventive Maintenance, safety, equipment outages, and general maintenance. Experience with primary metals mills is preferred.

Using a CMMS system for planning and scheduling, develop and manage PM schedules, order and pre-kit parts and materials, generate weekly reports with repair status and detailing the work of the department, solicit bids for contractors. Prepare for equipment outages including a schedule of maintenance during the outage, and identifying during which day and shift that work should be done.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will consider AAS degree in Engineering or Information Systems. Should have a minimum of five yeas’ experience in plant maintenance and planning.

Must have experience with companies in heavy industry such as metals, paper, glass, cement, oil and gas.

Experience using a CMMS system, and experience with SAP ERP systems is preferred.
