    Job Description

    Overview:

    Stackers will stack boxed product (average wt. 45lbs) on to pallets to prepare for shipment. Perform a variety of Floor Help duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Here’s what you’ll do:

    • Palletize finished product according to market (Export vs. Domestic). (Average wt. 45lbs.)
    • Stack boxed product onto pallets to prepare for shipment.
    • Dump pre-processed fruit from cartons to bins.
    • Change tray and heads on the pack machines.
    • Ensure packers have the appropriate packing materials.
    • Pack bagged product in the appropriate package.
    • Keep work areas clean and well organized.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, company policy handbooks, etc.
    • Must have the ability to recognize different pallet and package types.
    • Must be able to differentiate labels and bag types.
    • Ability to add and subtract.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.
    • Must work with fellow co-workers from other areas to solve problems and accomplish daily tasks.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
    • High School diploma or general education degree (G.E.D); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience preferred but not required.
