OVERVIEW:

Instructs the effective use of a wide variety of cardio and fitness equipment, monitors orderly operation of the fitness room, and provides routine maintenance to fitness equipment. Ensures fitness center rules, safety standards, and sanitation requirements are followed.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• SHIFT HOURS: Monday - Friday 2:00pm-9:00pm
• The Fitness Center attendant is responsible for assisting with the general operation of our onsite gymnasium.
• The attendant welcomes employees and works to ensure that they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
• This position is also responsible for maintaining the weights and cardiovascular fitness areas, ensuring the functionality and cleanliness of equipment.
• Ensures Center rules, safety standards, and sanitation requirements are followed.
• Assist in the Emergency Action Plan implementation.
• Provides customer assistance as needed.
• Monitors fitness room to ensure smooth flow of patrons through exercise circuits.
• Performs routine daily maintenance tasks such as employee check-in, filing fitness waivers, and minor repairs on facility equipment.
• Maintains professional relationship with contract service/vendors.
• Documents and reports all accidents and incidents in the fitness room.
• Documents and reports all equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to Center Administrator.
• Communicate regularly with the management of the Fitness Center and provide additional assistance when requested.
• Assist Wellness Coordinator in design & implementation of incentives, health promotion, and other specialty programs.

Qualifications

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.
• Knowledge of a fitness facility and excellent customer relation skills
• Recreation, physical fitness or customer service experience
• First-aid training and CPR/AED certification (Training provided)
• Set up and monitoring equipment experience and proper techniques
• Proficient computer skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work with little or no supervision establishing working relationships with employees.
• Decision making skills
• Display an outgoing personality
• Honest and trustworthy
• Respectful
• Demonstrate strong work ethics
• Bilingual preferred

Pay Range: $17.26-$18.00/hour
