Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Wonderful Scholar for a full-time 8-week internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on professional experience while supporting the Senior Manager of Career Readiness on work-based learning and career readiness programs.

This position is based in the Central Valley (Shafter) with the possibility to travel to summer camp and internship sites as needed. The start date is June 17, 2024, and the schedule for this internship may vary but mostly Mon-Fri (9am-5pm)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with tracking intern hours, locations, supervisors, etc.
• Support Parent/Student orientation nights for internships at all participating schools
• Support with fellowship interview tracking
• Assist with data collection and input using Salesforce software
• Support career interest survey adoption across all high school students
• Create supports/research career readiness supports for Wonderful Ed staff to support high school students
• Work with various platforms (CA career zone, myACT.org, WorkKeys) to help create career readiness programming for high school students
• Support certificate/apprenticeship program development for Wonderful Ed high school graduates

Qualifications

• Must be above the age of 18 and currently be eligible for the Wonderful Scholarship
• Must upload a resume, professional reference, and cover letter with your application
• Open to travel during the work week
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work autonomously
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Must have a valid Driver’s license
• Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish
• Live Scan clearance

Pay: $18.00/Hour
