    TEAM PROFILE

    Wood Mackenzie’s Research teams deliver outstanding analysis on the issues facing exploration, production, power and renewables companies throughout the Americas. Our analysis spans sub-surface technical analysis, commercial and financial analysis, right through to strategy and execution. We also provide unique insights into the market, authoring detailed topical insights globally and analysing the upstream industry for current trends or future potential opportunities.

    Our broad industry knowledge and deep insight into the issues we cover is unparalleled. Working with our upstream research team will put you right in the middle of a rapidly changing and vital industry.

    THE INTERNSHIP

    We have opportunities for interns to work within a team of energy industry experts through the summer. The successful candidate will work on a project core to the ongoing research and development within Wood Mackenzie's rapidly evolving Americas Research team. The successful candidate must have enthusiasm for the Energy business, data skills, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to maintain and improve relationships with the wider team, Woodmac business.

    As a member of an open, dynamic and innovative team, the intern will carry out research on an emerging theme within the energy business. Interns will have the chance to work alongside leading Analysts and industry authorities in their field.

    SOME OF THE TEAMS INCLUDE:

    Upstream Lower 48, Chemicals, Upstream Latin America, Corporate Analysis, Power & Renewables and Downstream Americas. If you have a preference of focus, please note within your attached cover page. Must be bilingual in English & Spanish/Portuguese for LA Upstream Team.

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Proficiency with MS Office suite including Access & Excel
    • Proficiency working with large data sets is required
    • Strong Analytical & Writing Skills
    • The ability to work closely with colleagues to design and deliver high quality solutions
    • Adhere to best practices and maintainability while freely knowledge sharing with colleagues
    • Must be either entering senior year of Bachelors or in Masters program as of June 2020 in related field such as economics, finance, or engineering.
    • Must be able to work in Houston, TX without relocation or housing assistance.
