    Job Description

    This role will lead the paid content team to create world-class content for our customers and will also be hands-on creating award-winning content including white papers, webinars, podcasts and other creative executions. This position will report directly to the Director of Digital and Content and oversees a small, but the perfectly formed content team that produces engaging quality content that speaks to our client’s audiences and boosts engagement with their brand whilst ensuring alignment with Wood Mackenzie’s brand.

    ABOUT THE DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

    •                 Work with the creative media sales team to craft content topics and themes to align with our client's objectives

    •                 Work with client marketing teams as well as our Research teams to create content tailored to their objectives and our Research positioning.

    •                 Working with clients and Research to write editorial copy in line with the themes and topics agreed with clients

    •                 Partner with sales to create new content marketing ideas to promote industry-related topics in partnership with our clients.

    •                 Work with our podcast providers to produce and promote bespoke podcasts on behalf of clients

    •                 Deliver content strategies for client webinars and events

    •                 Collaborate with creative services, product marketing, and our research business to produce high-quality content

    •                 Develop and maintain evergreen paid for content across digital platforms including the website

    •                 Proofread, re-structure, and edit articles by other writers, optimizing written pieces to increase user engagement.

    •                 Own writing style guide and enforce editorial governance, inspiring fellow team members to create even better content

    •                 Optimise content considering SEO and Google Analytics

    •                 Analyse web traffic metrics to find opportunities for improving audience messaging on digital channels

    Salary $80,000 - 85,000

    ABOUT YOU AND HOW YOU CAN EXCEL IN THIS ROLE

    To be successful in this role you’ll be a content marketing professional with at least 5 years’ experience, preferably with a writing background. You’ll be able to develop engaging content to attract and engage new potential customers. For this position, it’s also essential to be up-to-date with new technologies and digital marketing trends. It will be beneficial if you have some knowledge of the energy & commodity markets.

    You will have:

    •                 A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Marketing, Digital Marketing or relevant field

    •                 Proven experience as a Content marketing manager, Content Editor, or similar role

    •                 Experience in creating content in a global business

    •                 Excellent communication and writing skills in English

    •                 Excellent client management and engagement skills

    •                 Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence and engage direct reports and peers

    •                 Demonstrated experience of senior stakeholder management

    •                 Experience in management, mentoring and coaching a team whilst driving a high-performance culture

    •                 Highly evolved communication skills and an ability to translate technical information into business language

    •                 Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively & drive innovation

    •                 Proficiency in MS Office and Content Management Software (eg EpiServer)

    •                 Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences

    •                 Understanding of web publishing requirements and hands-on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics

    •                 Project management skills and attention to detail

    •                 An energetic, tenacious, results-orientated approach
