    Wood-Mizer offers a complete line of narrowband portable and industrial sawmills, wideband sawmilling equipment, resaws, edgers, kilns, molders/planers, firewood processing equipment, pallet recycling equipment, material handling equipment, bandsaw blades, and blade maintenance equipment for forestry and timber professionals throughout the world.

    SUMMARY OF ROLE YOU ARE APPLYING FOR:

    As the International Account Manager, you will be responsible for working with Wood-Mizer distributors in foreign countries (mainly in Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Latin America) to drive sales opportunities and add value wherever possible.   This role serves as the primary point-of-contact for all distributors (and occasional direct customers) in their assigned region. Responsibilities include having product knowledge, responding to email, entering quotes and orders, scheduling LCL and container shipments, managing distributor payments and A/R application, etc. The International Account Manager is responsible for managing the relationship between the Company and our clients, responding to their requests, and following up with internal departments to ensure the best customer experience possible and continued business development. You will work in close collaboration with Regional Sales Managers and report to the Director of Sales for the region.

     

    This is NOT a remote position; candidates MUST reside in the Greater Indianapolis, IN area to be considered.  

     

    HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME:

    Every day brings a new challenge at Wood-Mizer.  Here are some ways you will be spending your time for each role:

    • Serving as the single point of contact for distributors and customers alike (must do “A-Z” for customers and distributors)
    • Learn product offering, and be able to make suggestions confidently and accurately according to the needs of customers
    • Create quotes, ensure product availability/lead times, enter customer orders, arrange shipments, and manage shipping schedule for assigned region
    • Communicate corporate changes, policies, procedures, regulations were necessary to the assigned region
    • Communicate new products, opportunities, customer issues as needed
    • Ensure that Distributor activity represents Wood-Mizer’s best interest
    • Primary contact for assigned distributors
    • Recommend new products and enhancements to meet customer needs
    • Translate documents or marketing materials as needed
    • Travel to distributor expos, trade shows, customer days, etc. within an assigned region as necessary (as allowed by COVID19 mandates)
    • Assist customers who contact Wood-Mizer directly
    • Coordinate customer and distributor relations to ensure customer satisfaction

     

     

    THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO HAVE:

    Below are some requirements for this specific role:

    EDUCATION:  Associates Degree or higher in Business or related field

     

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • 5+ years account management experience (international experience preferred)

     

    SKILLS:

    • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
    • Strong Spanish communication skills and experience (written and spoken)
    • 5+ years account management experience (international experience preferred)
    • Experience with inventory management systems, CRM, etc.
    • Must possess phone skills and have excellent written communication
    • Strong technical ability and willingness to learn about sawmills and other lumber processing machinery
    • Once COVID19 issues ease, willingness, and ability to travel internationally up to 15%
    • Ability to work remotely (from home) for the foreseeable future
    • Work independently and make decisions that will impact the company’s bottom line
    • Can successfully work with a diverse group of employees and customers to achieve desired outcomes
    • Excellent organizational skills, open to change, proactive, creative in solving problems
    • Understand technical requirements, electrical and various specifications, motors, engines, hydraulics, dimensions, measurements, etc.
    • Works collaboratively with company manufacturing locations in Indiana and Poland
