We are looking for a motivated, driven, and hands-on dredge and construction supply (pumped river sand and aggregates) sales professional to build on our continued success while serving in the role of SALES MANAGER. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL... • Shine at thinking strategically, communicating effectively, and adapting to new situations with innovative approaches. • Display strong communicating skills while managing various priorities with competing deadlines. • Excel in customer communications, sales leads, building relationships and new business opportunities. • Willing to travel to Houston, Port Arthur, Beaumont, Galveston, Corpus Christi in Texas and Mobile, AL. • Possess at least 5 years of relevant industry experience both in dredging and construction with 3 years of supervisory experience. WHAT DO YOU GET TO DO? YOU WILL... • Review external market conditions and bidding opportunities for projects that require Materials and connect with bidders and project managers in an effort to close business for the Materials division. • Actively research and connect with upcoming projects, proposals and bids. Research proposals and speak to contacts to establish relationship and expectations in an effort to win proposals and bids for related projects. • Manage the continuous operations and process of current projects won. Ensure expectations of customers, contractors and owners are being met. Schedule and meet with customers, contractors and owners to keep abreast of the project and ensure we provide optimal service. • Ensure the company is meeting all requirements and provisions of signed contracts. • Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external customers. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional manner to develop cooperative relationships and to ensure that customer confidentiality is assured. • Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance, e.g. expense management. • Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. • Generate and qualify leads via phone, email or in person meetings. • Promote products/services to new and existing customers. • Perform cost benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers • Close sales by means of excellent customer service and salesmanship. • Develop strategies for more effective sales closing, share with team • Maintain positive business and customer relationships to ensure future sales • Prioritize and/or escalate client questions and concerns to increase client satisfaction. • Source and develop client referrals. • Track personal appointments, status reports and sales. • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals. • Continuously improve through feedback.
