Woodbridge Medical Associates, PA is a patient centered medical practice that specializes in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The qualified candidate must hold a valid Medical Assistant certification and have prior Medical Assistant experience. This position offers 35 hours per week with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package.

Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

Escort patients from the waiting room to the exam rooms.

Obtain patient’s medical information and measure their vital signs, height, and weight.

Maintain the cleanliness of all exam rooms and properly dispose of contaminated supplies.

Administer injections.

Perform EKG’s.

Obtain prior authorization for prescribed medication and respond to refill requests.

Record patient medical information into the EMR.

Call patients with test results and provide physician instructions.

Answer incoming calls to the clinical department.

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

Valid Medical Assistant certification and prior Medical Assistant experience required.

Must be able to work Monday to Friday. One evening shift per week is required.

Ability to communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and staff.

Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.

CPR certification preferred but not required at time of hire.
