Currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineer/Department Manager. Our in-house site design team handles the site design, civil engineering, and landscape design for our development projects ranging from large multi-use developments to small retail pads. The position will be working directly with in-house architects and designers as well as the rest of the Woodbury Corporation team.
Job Qualifications:
Professional Engineer license in the state of Utah
10 years min of experience in civil engineering and land development
5 years min of experience in project management
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Job Description:
Act as lead civil engineering and project manager for multiple projects as once.
o Design and draft site, grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans.
Manage site team (site design, civil engineering, and landscape architecture) – 4-6 employees.
o Delegate responsibilities and manage workloads, deadlines, priorities
o Mentor staff and conduct trainings
o Organize team building exercises and activities
o Provide feedback to staff to assist in their professional development
Work with developers to craft thoughtful site plans that maximize property value
Establish site construction budgets for use in development proformas
Prepare and subdivision plans and facilitate their recording and approval.
Produce civil construction documents
Coordinate and contract outside consultants for surveying, geotechnical engineering, and other site related services
Work with public agencies and utility companies to coordinate development projects and obtain approvals
Assist other Woodbury Corporation departments (development, property management, hotels, etc) to solve site related problems
Conduct quality control reviews of internal and out-sourced construction documents
