Facilities Attendant/Houseperson: Position is part-time, Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm.

Job Duties:

Maintains, cleans, and repairs guest rooms, public spaces, grounds, pool/spa, and back of the hotel areas in good repair/cleanliness by performing various tasks.

Ensures trash and debris are continually removed from the property and out of the sight of the guests.

Ensures public restroom and pool restroom cleanliness and provides an adequate stock of paper products

Conducts cleaning, maintenance and safety inspections as needed and ensures timely follow-up to required improvements.

Sorts hotel linens and treats stains. Loads soiled wash into washers. Takes wet, clean items and dries them as required. Sorts and folds or hangs clean, dried items.

Safety and Security:

Assists in recognizing and correcting/reporting potential safety hazards (broken doors, fire hazards, etc.) and security problems (locking doors after hours, etc.)

Remains watchful and reports any suspicious activity as needed to ensure safety of guests, associates and hotel assets.

Stays informed and capable of performing necessary hotel procedures in case of an emergency.

Minimum Qualifications

Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record and be willing/able to drive a 15 passenger hotel shuttle van

Authorized to work in the US

Must be neat, professional and well-groomed.

Must be dependable and reliable.

Must be able to work with little supervision

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds (lifting above the shoulder is also required).

Able to relate well to hotel guests and co-workers.
