    SUMMARY: THE POSITION OF SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR IS ESTABLISHED TO PERFORM HIGHLY COMPLEX CLIENT SERVER PROJECTS INVOLVING THE DESIGN, ANALYSIS, MAINTENANCE AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SERVER EQUIPMENT AND PERFORM SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION OF MICROCOMPUTERS.     Essential Duties

    Designs, analyzes, maintains and implements client server equipment; work on all server installation projects

    Provides technical support to all departments connected to the servers.

    Meets with customer representatives to coordinate server installations

    Coordinates assigned service requests to meet requesting department dates within established department standards.

    Tests, evaluates and recommends selections of standard server components

    Administers the client server system as well as computers, Active Directory, and Group Policies

    Communicates effectively, both verbally and in written form, technical information with a wide variety of individuals and groups.

    Designs, analyzes and implements client server equipment and design cost effective system configuration that meet the users' needs.

    Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with end users, vendors and managers.

    Identifies and resolves hardware and software problems.

    Maintains system backup management, system monitoring and other administrative tasks.

    Defines user needs and recommends alternatives.

    Covers IT Helpdesk on-call rotation as scheduled by the IT Director.

    Maintains a professional appearance.

    Follows established organizational procedures and health and safety policies

    Other Duties

    Assists in end user hardware refresh and break-fix replacements.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Experience and Qualifications

    Experience with management, administration and support of client server environments.

    One to two years in System Administration.

    Job Knowledge/Skills Required

    In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.

    In-depth knowledge of Server hardware.

    In-depth knowledge of typical PC based peripherals, including (but not limited to) printers, scanners, and external drives.

    Mac experience a plus.

    Ability to setup and maintain virtual and cloud server environment.

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Systems including Active Directory, Group Policies, Server based printing, and login scripts.

    Strong customer service skills including phone support.

    Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
