  • Responsibilities

    Performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program, benefits management, and payroll functions. This position requires an ability, and with good judgement, to relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Act as an employee relations subject matter expert. 
    • Coach, counsel and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions. 
    • Distribute and monitor employee performance evaluations and ensure they are done in a timely manner. 
    • Travel to multiple locations through out the Omaha metro area to ensure presence and availability to employees. 
    • Assist in payroll processing as team needs 
    • Monitor employee eligibility for benefit plans. Review benefits with employees and process enrollment, cancellations or changes.

     

    OTHER DUTIES

    • Management of HR projects as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors degree or the equivalent experience.
    • MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN HR WITH AN EMPHASIS ON EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

    JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
    • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organization and follow-through skills.
