JOB TITLE:  TEACHER

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1.      Experience as childcare teacher

2.      Ability to pass all required background checks

3.      Ability to develop and implement curriculum specific to the needs of children at designated age groups

4.      Ability to utilize technology to communicate, to plan and provide instruction, to manage data, and to produce and submit reports

5.      Ability to be punctual, have a professional appearance, and in regular attendance

6.      Physical strength, mobility, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of children
2. Interact with children and support children in a manner that conveys respect and nurturing
3. Attend to the personal hygiene of each child, as appropriate, including changing diapers and soiled clothing, and washing hands
4. Establishes routines and use appropriate behavior management techniques
5. Maintain accurate, complete student records, while maintaining the confidentiality
6. Assist in the development and facilitation of interactive parent and child literacy activities
7. Demonstrates behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
8. Responds to inquiries and requests in a timely manner
9. Attends training sessions, meetings, and other job-related duties as required by the director
