SUMMARY: The Bellman/Valet Service Team Member is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to Woodmark Hotel guests as they arrive. They will open vehicle doors for guests, assist with luggage and valet park guest vehicles. The Bellman/Valet will maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards.

The Bellman/Valet Service Team Member shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They are responsible for exemplifying the Woodmark Hotel Culture and promoting Woodmark Hotel as the Destination and Employer of Choice!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Greets guests with warm courteous attitude and assists guests with their luggage
Opens vehicle doors and valet parks guest vehicles
Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all Hotel amenities and any special events; provides general hotel information and directions to local points of interest to guests
Upsells other hotel services and amenities to guests
Maintains knowledge of valet parking lot flow and traffic control ensuring fire lanes are kept clear
Delivers automobiles to guests ready to drive; performs special deliveries or errands for guests
Arrange transportation requests
Maintains proper control of guests’ keys
Adheres to all Woodmark Policies and Procedures
Follows the established Woodmark Lost and Found Procedures
Provides general custodial duties as needed for front of main hotel and parking areas
Interacts with hotel staff in a professional manner and assists other departments when necessary
Exemplifies the Woodmark Standards of Excellence
Communicates all pertinent information to the Front Office team
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues; reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor
Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Woodmark Appearance Standards
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times
Perform other duties as assigned
EXPREIENCE & EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior hospitality experience preferred
At least one year customer service experience required
Prior valet experience preferred
JOB REQUIRMENTS:
Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
Must have valid WA Driver’s License and have a clean driving record
Must be able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Must be detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must possesses excellent communication skills and able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Must have the ability to effectively interact with guests and associates; resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day;
Must be able to walk quickly for distances totaling roughly a city block;
Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both inside & outdoors;
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift & carry up to 50 lbs;
Must be able to bend, squat crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;
Must be able to perform simple grasping frequently, and repetitive hand & arm movements, squeezing, overhead reaching & fine manipulation occasionally.
