    SUMMARY: The Assistant Restaurants Manager will provide oversight and management to the Restaurant. They will manage the training of all staff to ensure excellent service and assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

    The Assistant Restaurant Manager shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and is responsible for exemplifying the Woodmark Hotel Culture.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction

    Manages and provides leadership to the F&B team

    Oversees the development and execution of new promotions, events, etc.

    Conducts monthly staff meetings to include ongoing training and safety classes

    Establishes and maintains daily pre-meal meetings to review specials, goals, meal focus, contests and the status of the restaurant’s online reputation.

    Responsible for the creation of Service and Operating standards that are in line with the restaurant’s identity

    Follows up with all Private Dining events and ensures that guest’s needs are met.

    Develops and implements controls for expense management; assists with monitoring the restaurant’s topline revenue and submitting plans to increase revenue and manage expenses.

    Maintains strong knowledge of hospitality trends, especially in food & beverage

    Monitors and maintains the outlets’ systems and equipment to ensure their optimum performance

    Assists with the budget and forecast process for the F&B team

    Provides prompt follow-up to all guest concerns

    Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner

    Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment

    Ensures the wine list and all menus are up-to-date and accurate

    Works closely with the F&B buyer to ensure proper cost control and quality product

    Assists with and initiates coaching and counseling

    Attends appropriate hotel and department meetings

    Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness

    Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs

    Actively engages with guests and encourages their participation in submitting positive online reviews.

    Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events

    Interacts with hotel staff in a professional manner and assists other departments when necessary i

    Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude

    Communicates all pertinent information to the outlets team

    Maintains constant awareness of safety issues and reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.

    Ensures proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, china, glass and silver.

    Follows established lost and found procedures

    Follows all Company Policies and Procedures

    Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time

    Performs other duties as assigned

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Two or four year degree in field of choice preferred

    At least five years food and beverage experience required

    Prior culinary management experience preferred

    Prior Four or Five Diamond experience preferred

    JOB REQUIRMENTS:

    Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit

    Must have valid driver’s license and meet company driving standards

    Must be able to read, write and speak English

    Must be at least 21 years of age

    Must possess valid WA Liquor Permit

    Must possess valid WA State Food Worker card

    Must have excellent leadership skills and set a positive example for staff

    Must be detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

    Must possess excellent English communication skills

    Must have excellent computer skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

    Must be professional in appearance and demeanor

    Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

    Must have the ability to effectively interact with guests and associates; resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height and push/pull up to 75 lbs

    Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally

    Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift.
