    Join the Woodmark Hotel culinary team in Beach Cafe as a Lead Line Cook!

    SUMMARY: To assist with promoting and facilitating a professional interactive role in our established culinary department. This position is responsible for cooking, preparing, and garnishing all hot food and cold food for Restaurants, Amenities, Room Service, Sunday Brunch and Catered events. The Lead Line Cook will assist to maintain the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

    The Lead Line Cook shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Woodmark Hotel Culture as well as promoting Woodmark Hotel as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

    QUALIFICATIONS

    5 years experience as a Line Cook at a quality style Hotel or Restaurant.

    Ability to work all stations on the line

    Food handling certificate

    Fluency in English in verbal and non-verbal

    Compute basic arithmetic

    Provide legible communication

    Comprehend and follow recipes

    Expand/Condense recipes

    The Ability to:

    Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

    prioritize and organize

    Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.

    Follow directions thoroughly

    Follow directions thoroughly.

    Understand guest’s service needs.

    maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data

    direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed

    High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate

    Certification of Culinary training or apprenticeship

    Previous supervisory experience

    Sanitation certificate

    Previously worked with all products and food ingredients involved.

    Artistic talent

    Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system

    Previous guest relations training
