    ABOUT THE ROLE

    You will be responsible for general accounting and admin functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, and payroll. This will be our first in-house dedicated accounting role, so there are opportunities to grow or continue in a part-time role.

    The role is expected to be ~8-12 hours per week, likely with some heavier initial onboarding. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • BILLING / ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
      • Review subscription and invoice info for customers
      • Work with customers & sales to ensure timely collection of invoices
    • ACCOUNTS PAYABLE / EXPENSES
      • Process vendor expenses
      • prepare expense reports
    • BOOKKEEPING
      • Company expense reports and financials
      • Month-end closing processes
      • General reporting
      • Budgeting
    • GENERAL
      • Payroll processing
      • Other HR / admin support
      • Assist with integrating systems (Gusto for HR, Hubspot, Chargebee for subscription billing, and Quickbooks)

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • MUST have experience working with SAAS subscriptions
    • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, as shown by:
      • At least 2 years experience with Quickbooks
      • At least 2 years experience bookkeeping
      • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
    • Detail-oriented, dependable, and have a strong work ethic
    • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
    • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

    DIFFERENTIATING EXPERIENCES

    • Experience integrating and automating systems
    • Experience with Hubspot/Salesforce (CRM), Chargebee (subscriptions), and Gusto (HR/Payroll)
    • Forecasting and cash flow management
