Summary
Develops and/or reviews work packages including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area. Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures and may also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
- Education/ Degree? bachelor's degree and 12 years of direct experience or over 20 years of direct experience without a degree.
- Any required certifications? No required certifications: Certified Facility Manager would be nice to have, PPA certification (Policy Procedure Writer)
- Any “Deal Breakers” that will cause a candidate rejection? Former contractors with poor history; Split schedules not allowable; 100% onsite; WFH would be allowed on a case-by-case basis but not considered long term
- What are your top 3 skills that are desired? 1. Building systems expertise boilers, HVACs (both JPs) Facility system/Facility support system 2. Maintenance/or construction background (facility maintenance) 3. Procedure writing and development 4. Work Control background (in manager or planner roles)
- DOE experience more beneficial; coming from private industry or nuclear reactor industry; US navy
