    Responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Foreman:

    • Provide technicians with assistance with completion of the alarm installation.
    • Troubleshoot installation software and programs.
    • Manage customer relationships.
    • Provide management with weekly status on projects, including but not limited to hours to complete, materials purchased and needed, risks and other items.
    • Assist with tracking of materials purchased and used on jobs.
    • Walk-thru sites to gain details needed to create quotes.
    • Quote installations and follow up on quotes.
    • Create marked up plans to be sent to CAD engineers for drawings needed for permitting.
    • Provide strong technical support for customers and technicians.
    • Provide technical training for our technicians.
    • Join the on-call rotation.


      Requirements of the Fire Alarm Foreman:

    • Have NICET Level 2 or higher and Michigan Fire Alarm Specialty Tech License or equivalent electrical license.
    • Detroit Certificate of Fitness card preferred.
    • Project Management and/or Foreman Experience.
    • Experience in fire alarm installation quoting.
    • Have strong knowledge of inspections and NFPA 72 requirements.
    • Self-reliant individual with ability to work in a team environment.
    • Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions according to company values.
    • Ability to lead technicians in a positive direction.
    • Have a good driving record.
    • Ability to climb ladders and stand for long periods.
    • Ability to handle material and tools up to 100 pounds.
    • Honest and trustworthy – ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
