  • Responsibilities

    This organization works to improve public education through inspiration and influence across policies and practices. The Practice Associate will work with the Assistant Director and the Program team to support high quality professional learning. He or she will be responsible for reviewing the best research in the field and providing project planning. They will also manage communication with network participants, researchers, foundation program officers and academics.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:

    • Research quality, aligned materials and resources for content.

    • Develop high quality briefing books.

    • Support overall project planning process.

    • Execute project deadlines, event support, external and internal relationships.

    • Find and identify relevant content to keep program staff up to date.

    • Facilitate strong communication between Practice, Policy and other teams.

    • Supporting external functions.

    • Support fundraising and grant making activities on an as-needed basis.

     

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    • At least 3 years working in education.

    • Committed to increased high-quality instruction.

    • Adept project management skills.

    • Strong research and analysis skills.

    • Dedicated to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

    • Travel up to 20% of the time.


    Response to COVID-19:

    We currently have all staff working remotely and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future (and at least through the end of 2020). As of now, there is no exact timeline for when people will be back in the office. However, once it is safe, this work will need to be led from our offices due to the direct engagement with stakeholders.
