Operations Regional Director-DC

The Regional Director of Operations will report to the Principal and will lead a team of hourly Operations Specialists. He or she is responsible for taking care of physical space at their campus. The Director of Operations will execute “business” decisions including logistics and compliance. It will also require behavior management, culture-setting, and behavior management coaching. This operational leadership position is integral because it maintains consistent culture across spaces, keeps students safe, and promotes instructional staff to focus on teaching and learning.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee talent recruitment cycle through hiring and evaluating your team of hourly operational specialists.

• Develop Operations Specialists through professional development and coaching on behavioral management techniques.

• Be a supportive partner on the leadership team and the national Business Operations Manager team.

• Communicate regularly with parents on operational topics.

• Offer financial support through budgets, cash collection, and invoice approval.

• Contribute to school safety processes and compliance.

• Manage procurement and purchasing for the site.

• Serve as the IT contact point person onsite.

• Manage the physical space of the building and all facility needs.

• Manage operations for food services.

Skills & Experience Required:

• At least 5 years of school-based experience

• Managerial experience preferred.

• Manage multiple critical deadlines.

• Agile to changing school needs.

• Able to be detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful.

• Adept at communicating respectfully and empathetically with student’s families.

• Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
