    We are looking for a RN, Director of Cardiovascular Services to join our dynamic and growing team! In your role, you will lead the operation and direction of our Surgical/Cardiovascular Intensive Care (ICU), ICU Stepdown and Surgical Cardiac Progressive Care Units. Based out of our medical facility, you will oversee our new Heart and Lung Institute and our Surgical and cardiovascular Inpatient Services.     This Medical Center has opened at its current location as a 109-bed hospital in 1988. Since then, there's been nothing but growth. Today, we have 208 private patient rooms and another 144 under construction. Also added is our $68 million freestanding Cancer Institute and other specialty programs and now performing more than 13,000 surgeries annually.

    In your role, you will:

    • Assist in the development and oversee the implementation of the strategic business plan for cardiovascular services with appropriate linkage to the hospital’s annual operating and quality improvement plans for the value of services provided. This includes establishing and monitoring indicators for clinical quality, service quality, financial, operational and market performance.
    • In partnership with the management team, direct care staff, physicians and all supporting departments, design operating systems that are cost effective and streamlined that result in the delivery of quality patient care.
    • Accountable for ensuring regulatory compliance and departmental metrics are met through policy management, action plans, and standardized evidence-based research practices.
    • Assure implementation of evidence based best practice and achievement of outstanding clinical, patient safety, and patient satisfaction outcomes.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Master's Degree preferred

    Experience

    • 5 years of experience in a healthcare leadership/management position required
    • 3 years of experience in Cardiovascular Services, Specialty Services, Surgical Services or Critical Care preferred

    Licenses and Certifications

    • RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license
    • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role preferred
