  • Responsibilities

    This position manages all aspects of the equity financial and tax reporting, compliance, administration and planning including, but not limited to employee stock purchase plans and equity grants. This position can be US Based Remote Or if in the Mountain View, CA area can be a hybrid (work from home/office) environment. Let's get you hired!

    Essential Functions:

    • Manage entire stock administration process, required securities laws filings and outsourced vendor relationships
    • Ensure database application software is timely and correctly maintained to process error-free grants, exercises, releases, cancellations, terminations, award agreements, etc.
    • Manage the employee stock purchase plan, including enrollment, purchase, settlement, international compliance, and post purchase administration and reporting
    • Partner with Legal, Accounting, Payroll, HR, Tax and external consultants to improve current processes and procedures
    • Manage the whole cycle for equity; analyze historical trends for activities related to equity; prepare reports and provide recommendations to the Sr. Management regarding future shares’ use and shares’ availability under the incentive option plans; prepare calculations for basic and diluted WASO and impact on the EPS; prepare forecasts for WASO, share count and stock based compensation expense under multiple scenarios
    • Provide custom reports to Payroll and Tax as needed, such as tax withholding's and adjustments
    • Assist with the planning and coordination of monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations of equity accounts
    • Prepare accounting journal entries related to stock compensation and ASC 718 calculations
    • Respond to inquiries and requests for information from executives, employees, internal and external auditors and other key stakeholders
    • Prepare SEC schedules and disclosure information related to equity to be used for 10-Q/10-K filings
    • Effectively communicate changes in equity related policies to manager and implement new processes to accommodate changes as necessary
    • Provide Tax Department with routine or ad hoc requests for tax accounting calculations
    • Responsible for evaluating SOX controls and ensuring monitoring and compliance with such controls
    • Manage preparation and filing of all required forms under Section 16 such as Form 3, 4 and 5, etc.
    • Provide annual Proxy information to Legal Department
    • Assist with employee training on equity programs
    • Other ad hoc tasks as needed

    Knowledge Skills:

    • Experience interacting with legal, accounting, tax and treasury functions on compliance and design issues; vendor management; communications; process flows; database maintenance/use; and report retrieval logic
    • Understanding of general compensation principals and executive compensation compliance
    • Technical knowledge of US GAAP rules related to equity accounting and reporting
    • Hands on knowledge of equity compensation (Stock Options, Restricted Stock, ESPP, Stock Appreciation Rights, Performance Awards, etc.)
    • Excellent customer relationship management skills
    • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
    • Self-starter with excellent time and project management skills
    • Ability to drive process-based improvements
    • Excellent communications skills and effective multi-departmental and management level cooperation
    • Strong computer and analytical skills, including high proficiency in Excel

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 8 years of relevant stock administration experience
    • Equity Edge Software experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) and/or CPA preferred
