Summary
Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a highly respected Fortune 1000 Insurance Company, currently seeking a Workday Financials Architect. This person is responsible for delivering scalable, optimized solutions in Workday Financials by leveraging best practices, advising on improved design, and leading technical efforts—including M&A integrations and ongoing system enhancements. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to business partners, manage service requests, ensure compliance, and foster continuous improvement while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with vendors.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and relevant Workday Certifications are highly preferred.
•5 to 10 years of Workday Financials design, build, and implementation. Multiple full-platform implementations in a global
environment is preferred.
•3 years' experience in Accounts Receivables, Source to Pay, Treasury and Bank Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting is
required.
• Experience in Procurement implementation, Strategic Sourcing, and Accounting Center is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills for technology-related issues and complex business scenarios.
• Strong understanding of requirements and estimation.
• Team player with the ability and willingness to mentor junior team members.
• Passion for learning new technologies and enhancing existing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive individual who thrives in collaborative team settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Ability to bring “Workday best practice” design to business requirement discussions. Advise teammates on improved design.
•Work with business partners to deliver increasing value and solutions in Workday Financials: Core Financials (Payables,
Receivables, Fixed Assets) Adaptive, Accounting Center, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, as well as platform tools.
• Lead technical delivery efforts during M&A integrations.
• Ensure compliance with segregation of duty rules, auditing requests, and overall governance.
•Assess current implementation for needed design improvements and propose project structure needed to achieve
optimized results.
• Troubleshoot configuration and integration issues as reported by business partners.
• Effectively manage workload using ServiceNow (ITSM) and meeting SLA agreements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with business partners as a trusted technical advisor.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
• Foster a continuous improvement attitude and a growth mindset.
• Act as a team leader as needed and train junior technical team members.
• Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and problem-solving skills.
