We are seeking a skilled Workday HCM System Administrator to join our team and support the ongoing optimization and administration of our Workday platform. In this role, you’ll ensure the system operates smoothly and securely while collaborating cross-functionally with People & Culture, Finance, Payroll, and IT. Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Workday HCM System Administrator or HRIS Analyst, ideally within accounting, finance, or professional services.
- Strong hands-on experience with Core HCM and related modules (Compensation, Benefits, Absence).
- Proven ability to configure business processes, security roles, calculated fields, and perform EIB data loads.
- Experience maintaining data governance standards and ensuring system compliance.
- Demonstrated success partnering with Finance, Payroll, and IT to align data and configurations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable leading testing and documentation of Workday semi-annual updates and system enhancements.
- Experience collaborating with Finance on position management, cost center hierarchies, and payroll audit reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday certification(s) in Core HCM, Reporting, or Security
- Previous Workday implementation experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related technical field
Description and Responsibilities
System Administration & Configuration
- Serve as the primary technical administrator for Workday HCM, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and Absence modules.
- Manage user access, security roles, system configurations, and compliance checks.
- Configure business processes, calculated fields, notifications, and security settings.
- Perform sandbox testing and full production deployments, including testing and migration.
- Conduct data audits, mass uploads/updates (EIBs), and maintain data accuracy and governance.
- Monitor system performance, resolve escalated issues (Tier 2/3), and manage change requests with proper tracking and documentation.
Reporting & Analytics
- Ensure data integrity across the HCM system.
- Support data migration, validation, and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain custom reports and dashboards for HR, Finance, and Payroll.
- Collaborate with Finance on position management, cost center hierarchies, and payroll audit reporting.
Cross-Functional Support & Collaboration
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to maintain system efficiency and implement updates.
- Assist with user training, documentation, and adoption of new processes or features.
- Partner with People & Culture, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Technology & Operations teams to deliver effective system solutions.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Stay current on Workday updates, release notes, and best practices.
- Lead or support Workday enhancement projects with smooth testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Promote user education through proactive support, training, and documentation.
